I think I'll start using Sundays to post all of the events that have
slipped by in the craziness of our days.
(or at least I will this Sunday)
Emmy's first day of school is up.
It was the best day, free of drama and full of excitement.
The fact that we can walk to school and Emmy has lots of friends
in the neighborhood from her class makes life just about as good as it gets
for a kindergartener.
When we moved into this neighborhood Emmy was three, and I used to dreamily watch the kids and their parents make their way up the street each morning,
imagining how great it would be when we got to join them.
I can hardly believe we are already there.
(Emmy wore an ID card for the first 2 weeks of school so the teacher
would know if she was a walker or bus rider)
(Rosa takes a toy to show off every single day)
(Not an ounce of nerves that day. Crazy difference
compared to preschool)
(Mrs. Wasson meets the class at the front of the school each day and walks them in.
Rosa takes this opportunity to run down the line getting high fives from each student,
like an NBA all star.)
And back home still smiling!
I can't tell you how much I love this school.
