Coffee = Smiles

Could you ever ask me to deny these girls the joy
of a jaunt to the neighborhood coffee house?
How selfish would I be if I didn't give them the opportunity
to feel this happy?

Making the world a happier place,
one grande at a time.

*These pictures aren't too sharp, but look Danza - look how clean my car is!
Ah, the magic of photography.
It's still a "dump truck" on the bottom.
That's what my Mom calls it.  To my children, when I'm not around.
Yes, they tell me everything you say Mom, mwahahaha.

After stealing my cardigan:

E:  This color of blue looks good on you, but it looks better on me.

Fourth of July Photo Vomit

I took a little blogging break while I was adjusting to our summer schedule,
which involves no schedule at all.
I like schedules, don't do well with free time.  Too many options.
It overwhelms my brain, and so, I have about 200 blog entries swimming in my head
and oodles of pictures to catch up on.

The Fourth was, how can I say say this...
Here is some photographic evidence:

When you are sweating at the beginning of the Parade.  It does not bode well for the rest of the day.

The heat did not deter Rosa from kicking back some java.
A lady needs her caffeine in the a.m. to act a lady.
I kid, it's just water.  Or that's what I'm telling you anyway.

Everyone had a blast at the parade and the girls scored some serious candy.

They actually received special candy buckets to gather the goods in.
Ten dollar candy buckets.  Yeah.
I'm lookin' at you Grammy.

That is the face of someone who just learned she could eat some of the candy.

Circus kid.

This is Drew's dream car.  He would like to drive it to Pentwater every year.
I'm not sure if that means he is some kind of a hippie at heart,
or secretly longs to be in the cast of Scooby Doo.

This guy gives me a mad case of the happies.

I would like to take a moment to point out a moment where I had a vision of our future.
There was a significant amount of candy being thrown at this here parade,
and as excited as all the kids were, I was hearing a lot from the parents:
"Caleb!  Go get it!"  "Come on Avery, run out and grab some!"  "It's right there!"
"Don't worry about the clown car, they'll move - just get that candy!!!"
Let's see how many adults v. kids are grabbing candy in this picture.
These are the folks I will be blogging about come Soccer games gone wrong.

After the parade, we packed into my parents car to head to the festival at the park.
My Dad seemed a little too amused to close Drew and I into the trunk

You know Emmy is serious about competitive balloon pumping when that tongue comes out.

Pony rides and bouncy houses rounded out the day until we took refuge in the a/c.

Yippee!  If you lasted through that whole thing, bravo.
And thank you.
Happy rest of July!

"Rosa Like Feta"

There is a time for manners
And then there is a time to just watch the spectacle.

Thank You, Nana!!!

It doesn't get much more exciting in this house
than when a package arrives for the girls.
Holy grabbiness!
It's best to just stay out of their way.

Mine has one and twooooo pockets! - Rosa

Emmy is currently napping in her hat and asks if the
Pentwater logo is facing straight about every 2.5 minutes;)

Thank you for the gifts Nana - they are a hit!
Happiness is knowing you are vacation bound.
