Couldn't Have Said It Better Myself

Yesterday I attended a Mother's Day Tea Party!

Hosted by Emmy's preschool class.

It was so fantastically awesome it made me sweaty with giddiness.

And by sweaty, I mean, afraid to raise my arms during a dance we all did later.

Didn't care to know that?  Don't be a princess.

Each Mommy was invited into the classroom individually when their

child came out, handed them a card and escorted them inside. 

Just tear up a little bit? 

The very best part, cause it was all soooo good,

 was the game of "Mommy Trivia".

Each child was "interviewed" previously and asked some questions

about their Mommy. 

Then the teacher read each interview and we had to guess

which description was ours.

My cheeks hurt from laughing by the end of this game.

Here's Emmy's interview: I've included a bit of explanation as needed.

My Mother is funny when she:  cat rolls my face instead of my shirt.

(Leaving for school, Emmy in a black shirt, having played with Mr. Puddy.  I got distracted while lint rolling her shirt.)

My Mother is  16  years old.

(No explanation needed.  Clearly I just look that young.)

My Mother is a great cook!  She likes to make:  chocolate chip muffins.

My Mother always says:  when you do something wrong you go to time out.

(Let's just put this in perspective, about 90% of the other kids answered with I love you.  Yeah, I'd be judging me too, but we just implemented a new time out chart due to some questionable behavior.)

My Mother is as pretty as a:  cow.

(Again, about 90% of the other Mommy's were as pretty as a flower, butterfly etc...)

Just the best time ever!  And I hugged my little calf with pride.
